Brenchley High Street |
Tucked away in deepest Kent countryside lies the village of Brenchley, The church was built around 1233. Wat Tyler is reputed to have lived in a cottage near Brenchley when he led the Peasants Revolt with the men of Kent. They marched on London to voice their grievances to Richard the second in 1381. |

Brenchley
was the first place that the famous hop variety "Fuggles"
was commercially developed in 1875. The original strain was found
in the garden of one George Stace, in 1861 in nearby Horsmonden. |

Pretty
in pink – that’s our Hannah. So far, she is the only
bear I have made who is not ‘bear-coloured’! Hannah was made as a special request and was born on her owner’s 18th birthday. Hopefully she will be a friend for life. |

Of course no village is worthy of any mention without its watering hole of which Brenchley boasts one of the best (or so the locals say). To the right is the true Home of the Brenchley Bear not to mention many other forms of wild life. |
